Role of the WM Chief Data Office and Data Quality Office

The WM Chief Data Office defines divisional data strategy, governance and regulatory alignment. The WM Data Quality Office establishes and enforces the data governance, quality and control framework across Wealth Management. The office drives data policy adoption, oversees the data quality lifecycle, partners with Technology, the Firmwide Data Office, Governance Offices and Audit, and supports transformation through automation, AI-enabled capabilities and operating efficiency.

The Data Quality Office operates across Execution, Change and Standards teams, requiring coordinated priorities, capacity, dependencies and delivery planning supported by reliable Jira-based reporting and executive insight.

WM Data Quality Office – Team Summary

As a collective, the WM Data Quality Office coordinates execution across multiple workstreams, maintains visibility over delivery progress and risks, and supports effective alignment with business, Technology, governance, risk, control and audit partners. The team uses structured planning, agile delivery practices, Jira-based reporting and knowledge management to support transparent and sustainable outcomes.

Role Summary

The Assistant Vice President – Delivery Enablement Lead enables coordinated delivery across WM Data Quality Office teams by aligning priorities, capacity, dependencies and change across Execution, Change and Standards. The role translates strategic direction into integrated delivery plans, reliable Jira-based reporting and clear executive insight, while partnering with the governance lead on established governance processes and forums.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-team priorities, demand, capacity and dependencies, maintaining an integrated view of work, risks, decisions and milestones.

• Translate strategic priorities into clear work packages, ownership, outcomes and delivery plans, escalating material risks and trade-offs with recommendations.

• Embed practical agile delivery across sprint, Kanban or blended models, supporting backlog refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives and flow improvement.

• Partner with the governance team to support established governance forums and controls, including the coordination and reporting of RAID items, dependencies, actions, decisions, evidence and milestones.

• Produce concise executive dashboards covering accomplishments, forward look, delivery confidence, risks, decisions required and emerging trends.

• Design, govern and improve Jira structures, workflows, boards, JQL filters, dashboards, data quality standards and portfolio-level reporting.

• Maintain an authoritative knowledge base with templates, metadata, naming standards, ownership, review cycles and traceability to Jira, evidence and deliverables.

• Partner with subject matter experts on execution planning and ongoing Jira hygiene updates.

• Drive and manage Jira standards operationally.

• Prepare materials for change forums across People & Technology, Technology and WM Data Strategy.

• Align with CDO delivery leads on executive-level milestones and connect them to supporting Jira operational dashboards and detail.

• Propose team priorities, supported by Jira data, in preparation for capacity management discussions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Five or more years of experience in delivery enablement, delivery operations, cross-team execution or agile delivery, ideally in financial services, risk, data, technology or another controlled environment.

• Deep hands-on Jira capability across configuration, issue hierarchies, Scrum and Kanban boards, advanced JQL, dashboards, filters, permissions, reporting and user enablement.

• Strong agile delivery knowledge, including sprint and Kanban practices, delivery metrics, work decomposition, prioritisation and dependency management.

• Strong delivery governance discipline across planning, milestones, RAID, capacity, governance cadence, change control, evidence management and reporting assurance.

• Ability to synthesize complex delivery information into accurate, concise and decision-oriented executive materials.

• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with confidence constructively challenging and presenting recommendations to senior audiences.

• Self-starter with strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to bring structure to ambiguity across multiple workstreams.

• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, with strong Word and collaboration or knowledge-management tooling capabilities.

Additional / Preferred Skills

• Experience in data quality, data governance, data risk, controls, lineage, cataloguing, policy implementation, audit readiness or regulatory commitments.

• Experience integrating Jira data into visualisation or business intelligence reporting, and relevant delivery management, agile, Scrum, Kanban or Jira certification.

• Experience with organisation structure modelling to support capacity, governance or operating-model decisions.
