Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage the site's HVAC operations, ensuring the availability, reliability, and safety of all air conditioning and cooling systems. Responsible for team management, task planning and control, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and overseeing the group's professional, operational, and budgetary activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and people management leadership for HVAC technicians and technical personnel.
- Hold overall responsibility for preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Manage priorities, plan work activities, and monitor execution in alignment with site objectives.
- Monitor system performance and lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Lead complex troubleshooting activities and provide technical support to the team.
- Prepare periodic reports, analyze data, and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Work closely with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead HVAC-related projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Assist in managing the group's budget, monitoring expenditures, and tracking work plans.
- Foster a culture of excellence, customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Mandatory
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and leading employees.
- Extensive technical knowledge of industrial HVAC systems, chillers, chilled water systems, AHUs, FCUs, and central cooling systems.
- Demonstrated ability in task management, work planning, and performance monitoring.
- Experience preparing reports, analyzing data, and tracking performance metrics.
- Full proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong leadership abilities with proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple interfaces both within and outside the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and employee engagement skills.
- High level of ambition, initiative, and commitment to organizational success.
Preferred
- Relevant education such as an HVAC Engineering Technician diploma, Mechanical Engineering degree, HVAC Engineering degree, or a related technical field.
- Certified Electrician License or higher certification.
- Experience managing operations in industrial facilities or critical environments.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and suppliers.
