WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Responsibility for issuing and launching timely orders to suppliers based on the commercial conditions and parameters of the ERP system
  • It ensures (responds) that materials, equipment, machinery and other accessories are ordered and delivered in a timely manner, in order to complete the manufacturing process
  • It ensures that the materials and products are purchased always taking into account the best price-quality proportionality
  • It ensures (responds) that the raw material is delivered respecting the aspects regarding time, quality and quantity
  • Analyses the price differences between the PO and the invoice and responding for the settling with the supplier, or inform the superior
  • In case of quality problems related to the parts and suppliers under its responsibility, it follows and responds for the solving of the commercial problem after closing of the complaint (scrap, replacement, credit note) from quality point of view
  • Identifies and manages the emergencies in the supply chain, informing the superior
  • Where appropriate, it deals with logistics issues
  • It makes certain that the stock does not exceed the limits of the allocated budget
  • During the collaboration with the supplier it’s following up that the terms of the contract are respected
  • Participates at continuous improvement activities
  • Ensures that the ERP system is complete and constantly updated with activity-specific information regarding: suppliers, products, price, delivery terms, and other procurement-specific items
  • Responsible for the checking and sending the financial documents for the purchase of goods or services to the financial department according to the internal norms
  • Knows and applies the procedures and instructions of the quality system
  • Guiding suppliers to ensure that they are working according to the nVent quality policy and standards

YOU HAVE:

  • Specialized university degree or equivalent experience
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical, planning and organizing skills
  • Flexibility/adaptability
  • Knowledge of computer operation (office package)
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Fluency in English

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Attention to detail - by carefully observing details, you achieve thoroughness and accuracy in your activities
  • Communication - good oral and written communication skills
  • Software utilization - ability to use ERP software and management software applications
