OCBC Global Financial Institutions (GFI) provide financial solutions and advisory for clients across the (i) Banks & Sovereigns, and (ii) Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs; Covering insurance, securities brokers, finance/leasing companies, exchanges, funds, payment intermediaries).
The team seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Associate to support the implementation and maintenance of the department s risk, compliance, and governance framework while providing operational support to Relationship Associates where applicable.
Products and services offered include:

3. Treasury solutions with focus on fiduciary deposits, FX, fixed income, interest rates, structured notes and other derivative products

What You Do
Operational & Regulatory Risk Management
1. Validate operational and regulatory risks documented in the department's Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) for new and existing processes, ensuring consistency and alignment across department where applicable.
2. Monitor compliance with key controls established to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
3. Assist in identifying control gaps and tracking corrective actions to ensure timely remediation of risk, audit, and regulatory findings.
4. Act as a liaison with Internal Audit, External Audit, Operational Risk Management (ORM), Regulatory Compliance Unit (RCU), and other second-line functions, ensuring timely closure of action items.
5. Support the maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, risk registers, and governance documentation.
Business Continuity Management (BCM)
1. Support the implementation and maintenance of the department's Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure operational resilience during disruptions.
2. Coordinate periodic reviews, testing, and updates of BCP documentation to ensure plans remain current, viable, and aligned with business requirements.
3. Document BCP exercises, findings, and remediation actions arising from continuity testing.
Data Governance
1. Conduct data quality reviews and validation checks to ensure compliance with the Group Data Management and Governance Framework.
2. Support the implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures within the department.
3. Monitor data quality metrics, identify issues, and coordinate remediation efforts with relevant stakeholders to improve data integrity and accuracy.
Training & Risk Awareness
1. Collaborate with Operational Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance Unit, and other stakeholders on the implementation of new policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
2. Support the development and delivery of risk, compliance, and governance awareness programmes for staff.
3. Promote a strong risk and compliance culture through ongoing communication, education, and engagement initiatives.
Reporting
1. Prepare and maintain periodic reports, dashboards, and management information relating to operational risk, compliance monitoring, audit issues, data governance, and business continuity activities.
2. Track action plans and provide regular updates to management on compliance initiatives, outstanding issues, and remediation progress.
3. Assist in the compilation and analysis of data for management reporting, regulatory reviews, and governance committees where applicable.
Process Improvement
1. Identify opportunities to improve compliance monitoring, testing, reporting, and governance processes.
2. Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects aimed at streamlining workflows, enhancing controls, and improving operational efficiency.
3. Support the redesign and enhancement of compliance testing, reporting, and governance processes to drive greater effectiveness and productivity.
Relationship Management Support
1. Support Relationship Associates (RAs) and business teams in client onboarding, account maintenance, periodic reviews, and documentation management activities.
Who You Are
Degree holder in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, Compliance, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in Compliance, Operational Risk, Governance, Audit, AML/KYC, Relationship Management Support, or the Financial Services industry will have an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight timelines while maintaining accuracy.
A proactive and self-motivated team player with strong ownership and willingness to learn.
Good understanding of risk management, compliance, governance, and internal control principles.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with operational risk management, BCM, data governance, audit, or MAS regulatory guidelines would be advantageous.
Experience in data analysis, reporting tools, process improvement initiatives, or automation solutions would be a plus.
