Description
Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park - Journey Beyond the Ordinary. Stovepipe Wells has an 80-room hotel, restaurant, bar, pool, gas station, general store, and gift shop. Stovepipe is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests, serve drinks responsibly in line with TIPS training.
Offer to help, answer questions, and communicate knowledgably about menu and drink items, pricing, hours and availability for every bar service location.
Stocks bar supplies, refrigerated and frozen items, comment cards, etc.
Maintains an organized and clean bar counter, bar back, preparation area, and storage areas. Stores supplies and puts away in designated locations.
Complete all food and drink safety checks, handwashing, cleaning, sanitizing.
protocols and wear gloves, and with consistency follow health safety standards.
Complete all bar and food and beverage safety training to ensure compliance is current at time of work. Exercise diligence in safety processes.
When is ill does not work and reports illness to the management team.
Participate in departmental audits and corrective actions as directed by leadership.
Answer guests’ questions, anticipate guest needs, is friendly and accommodating.
Arrive to work shifts wearing a clean, pressed, and complete uniform with nametag.
Wear proper footwear and take time to regularly clean and shine them.
Is helpful and professional with coworkers.
Respectfully start and end shifts on time, as directed by supervisor.
Leave workstations clean, organized, sanitized and prepared for the following shift.
Exercise diligence and accountability with POS payments, order accuracy, and cash handling

Work Location:
Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. Housing will be provided on-site.
A flexible schedule with commuting from Pahrump, Beatty or Las Vegas will be considered.
Due to the nature of our business, Stovepipe Wells Village is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Able to work and thrive in Death Valley National Park.
Ability to follow Bartender and F&B requirements and compliance with our concessions contract.
Ability to get along well with people, be honest, punctual and reliable.
Ability to remain calm and friendly.
Ability to physically work as a bartender and server.
Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Current CA Food Handlers Certification Card required
TIPs or Responsible Beverage Service equivalent required
Minimum 1 year bartender and F&B experience required.
Current CPR w/AED and First Aid medical certification is required.

Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.
Compensation:
• Hourly wage is $17.50 plus tips. Onsite housing provided.
