Description
At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.
We are looking for an experienced and technically driven Lead Product Engineer to join our Celsius EC team. Celsius EC is Cadence's industry-leading electronics thermal simulation software, used by engineers worldwide to design, analyze, and optimize thermal design across electronics systems - from component level to system level
In this role, you will be a technical authority for Celsius EC, working at the intersection of customer success, software development, and product strategy. You will engage directly with customers and partners globally, shape how the product is adopted and positioned technically, and act as a bridge between end-user requirements and our engineering and development teams. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role suited to someone who combines deep simulation expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for solving real-world engineering challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
Customer and Partner Enablement
- Lead technical engagements with strategic customers, providing expert guidance on simulation methodology and best practices for Celsius EC
- Design and deliver compelling demonstrations, proof-of-concept studies, and application examples that showcase product capabilities to prospects and existing accounts
- Develop and maintain a library of high-quality tutorials, application notes, and instructional content for customers and global resellers
- Deliver technical training to customers, partners, and internal Cadence teams
Application and Solution Development
- - Create reference models, benchmark cases, and validation studies that demonstrate product accuracy and capability
- Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate new features, provide application feedback, and contribute to technical requirements based on customer insight
Technical Content and Outreach
- Author technical articles, application briefs, and white papers covering simulation techniques, use cases, and product capabilities
- Produce high-quality visual assets - models, renderings, and animations - for use in technical communications and industry events
- Represent Celsius EC at conferences, webinars, and customer events as a subject matter expert
Technical Support
- Provide escalated technical support to customers and global resellers
- Support the application engineering and customer support team
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline - for example electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, or physics
- Proven industry experience in thermal simulation of electronics systems, including component, board, or system-level thermal analysis
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using the Celsius EC Solver in a professional or research environment
- Strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid dynamics fundamentals as applied to electronics cooling
Nice to have:
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as Solidworks, Creo, or CATIA
- Familiarity with electronics circuit design and PCB layout
- Broader CAE background including CFD, FEA, structural, or circuit simulation tools
---
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Have a proactive attitude to problem solving technical issues
- Comfortable presenting and demonstrating in front of groups, including at industry events
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and prioritise independently
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking initiative without close direction
- Active listening and consultative approach - understanding the customer's real problem before proposing a solution
- Resilience and professionalism when handling difficult customer situations or escalations
- Strong written communication
- Be willing to travel approximately 10–15 days per year for customer visits, events, and partner engagements
