Senior Manager Regional Legal Counsel

Graduate of a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program Licensed Lawyer with admission to the Philippine Bar. Active membership in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). A minimum of 10 years legal experience, working in a multinational company and/or law firm with experience advising on a wide range of topics in a transactional context. Good business acumen; ability to understand and foresee challenges for the business. Solid knowledge of contract law, with proven experience with contracts negotiation. Strong business sense and problem solving mindset. Hands-on approach. Eager to provide best-in-class support. Being able to advise sensibly and to-the-point. Ability to adopt a risk based approach and advise with pragmatism. Energy and passion, willingness to learn. Ability to build trust, be collaborative and responsive, prioritize and meet deadlines, and be a reliable business partner for the procurement and legal teams. Ability to exercise creative thinking and to define pragmatic approaches to problems. Self-awareness, a steady demeanour in challenging situations and comfort operating in a wide range of legal environments. Robust drafting skills in English (contracts, letters, email, presentations, etc) In this exciting position you will be reporting to the Associate Legal Director Regional for the region and be part of the Procurement Centre of Excellence within the Legal team. As part of the Procurement Centre of Excellence you will also work with legal colleagues in the BUs to keep them informed of strategic needs and/or in developing commercial legal approaches. This role would cover, as per the Legal Procurement CoE model, multi-country and central Procurement strategic work. The purpose of this role is to ensure scale, consistency and transparency across the territories with the aim of constantly driving value for the business and your stakeholders. In the spirit of regional collaboration and teamwork, you will be required to lend a helping hand to local teams in case of over-flow. You will also be coordinating the sanctions piece across the region in close collaboration with Ethics & compliance and relevant local legal teams. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements with suppliers in a variety of areas such as ingredients, packaging, transport, warehousing, equipment, civil engineering, professional services, rolling materials, energy, etc. Supporting the Procurement Centre of Excellence in developing policies and guidelines around contract negotiations, building and keeping templates up to date, developing trainings for empowerment, etc. Providing business minded legal guidance to enable the Procurement teams to achieve their goals. Providing robust, clear and business-friendly legal advice on a variety of topics. Working as a trusted business partner. Take a lead in coordinating regional sanctions work in close collaboration with Ethics & Compliance and local legal teams.
