Description
As a Firmware Engineer a typical day might include:
- Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems.
- Understand hardware and software interactions, and collaborate with Hardware Engineers.
- Participate in the development of designs and test documentation.
- Develop knowledge of SEL engineering processes.
- Develop knowledge of SEL products and technology.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
This job might be for you if you have:
- One of the following: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
- Knowledge in embedded systems firmware development including: C++ and assembly languages, Real-time firmware design
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
You may be a stronger fit for this position if you:
- Other programming languages, including: C, Python, other scripting languages
- Experience with debuggers

Pay Range Data: $84,200 - $124,500
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
