What you'll be doing...
Help tell the story of the new Verizon and its way forward on behalf of the company and leadership to engage and inspire our stakeholders – employees, media and customers.
You will be responsible for developing and executing executive internal and external communications strategies to drive our reputation and brand, inside the company and out. Specific responsibilities include developing internal, PR and social media strategies, supporting executive communications, positioning leaders in thought leadership forums, and more.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing integrated communications strategies and supporting narratives and plans across key initiatives
Creating and delivering engaging content across a mix of communications channels (i.e., executive communications, social media, Slacks, videos, articles, op-eds, and events).
Providing strategic guidance on messaging and effective communications as well as the development and hands-on execution of communications tactics.
Monitoring the external landscape, best practices social and content trends to be on the cutting edge of communications.
Tracking and measuring results and iterate on strategies accordingly
Managing projects, including developing timelines, crafting and reviewing content, providing design guidance or support, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, etc.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including business leaders, operational support and internal partners
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Communications experience.
Powerhouse writing skills, including the ability to quickly turn around messaging across formats - long form, social, email, video, etc.
Experience influencing partners.
Experience navigating complex and matrixed organizations with numerous stakeholders.
Experience driving internal and external strategies and execution.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Exceptional oral and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering consistently high quality work.
Attention to detail.
Collaborative approach.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $125,500.00 - $219,000.00.The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $125,500.00 - $219,000.00.
