What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health
Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.
Retail Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public, in accordance with legal, ethical and professional guidelines; may also consult with and advise patients and physicians regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
This position is located at Petaluma Health Center
Pharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm and Sat: 9:00am-1:00pm
Schedule: Part-time working 20 hours/week
Responsibilities
Accurately review and verify prescription orders in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Manage daily pharmacy workflow to ensure timely and efficient prescription processing.
Oversee dispensing accuracy and maintain high standards of patient safety.
Provide professional counseling and medication-related education to patients.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, healthcare providers, and other pharmacists to optimize patient care.
Resolve prescription, insurance, and medication-related issues as needed.
Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications
2-4 years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Active Pharmacist license in good standing.
Previous experience in a high-volume retail or community pharmacy setting required.
Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
May require vendor credentialing
Anticipated hourly range: $56.10 per hour - $80.30 per hour
