Description

The AVP, Real Estate Investment Marketing will be a member of the Alternatives Marketing team, with a dedicated focus on Nuveen Real Estate, an affiliate of Nuveen and one of the largest real estate investment managers in the world with $135 billion of assets under management.

The role will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that support investment and capital raising efforts across Nuveen’s global real estate platform, with a focus on marketing sophisticated real estate offerings, strengthening product positioning and enhancing the client experience for institutional and other sophisticated investors globally.

The candidate will be responsible for a broad range of primarily U.S.-focused marketing activities, including marketing collateral, digital and e-marketing, multimedia content, events and communications, and should bring generalist marketing knowledge with exposure to commercial real estate, asset management, finance and/or institutional investment.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for real estate products, strategies and thought leadership, leveraging paid, earned and owned channels including digital, social, email, webinars, advertising, events and sales enablement.
  • Collaborate with brand, design, content, events, social, digital and client marketing teams to deliver coordinated marketing initiatives and measure their impact.
  • Lead product-specific marketing plans for primarily institutional real estate strategies, including sector-, strategy- and vehicle-specific campaigns.
  • Research market opportunities, competitor activity, client needs and sales feedback to inform real estate product positioning, marketing themes, launch plans and client-facing materials.
  • Partner with product, portfolio management, real estate specialists and marketing colleagues to differentiate real estate strategies across collateral and campaigns, incorporating market feedback and sales insights to improve materials over time.
  • Create and manage real estate platform, capability, strategy and product marketing collateral, including pitchbooks, brochures, acquisition flyers, sector updates and related materials, ensuring alignment with business priorities and consistency across regions where relevant.
  • Manage the editorial calendar and production process for real estate content, including market insights and product updates, coordinating proofreading, compliance review and design to support sales priorities and fundraising milestones.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including website content and navigation, social media content, e-newsletters and the distribution of thought leadership and product content through email marketing platforms.
  • Coordinate Nuveen’s participation, sponsorship and engagement in real estate-focused industry events.
  • Work with Marketing Services to maintain accurate and current collateral and distribute new materials through Nuveen platforms such as DMAT and Seismic.
  • Serve as a trusted marketing partner to real estate business development teams, subject matter experts, investment professionals and product teams, building strong relationships and positioning marketing as a critical contributor to business growth.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of five years of financial services, asset management or investment marketing experience

 

Preferred:

  • Seven years of financial services, asset management or investment marketing experience
  • Experience working with institutional investor audiences, sales teams, investment teams and investment products.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, private real estate, real estate debt and equity strategies, and institutional real estate investor needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute marketing initiatives with measurable results.
  • Ability to assess complex information and translate it into clear, compelling messaging, visuals and client-facing materials.
  • Comfort working with multi-location and global teams.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to work independently in a complex organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving ways of working.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to think independently, challenge assumptions and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, finance or a related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience with marketing and content platforms such as Workfront, Seismic Cvent, Thirdlight, InDesign or Photoshop.
  • Cross-border or multilingual experience.

Base Pay Range: $107,000/yr - $140,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
