Location: Manchester

Salary: £74,106 Plus a non contractual discretionary Incentive award

 

What you’ll do

Using multiple data sources, you’ll identify maintenance requirements outside of the scheduled maintenance programme that are needed to keep our client’s fleet operating reliably without disrupting scheduled operations.

These requirements will be communicated to line and base engineering teams through Engineering Technical Requirements and work instructions, ensuring repetitive, latent and active aircraft defects are addressed in a timely manner.

The role will maintain a strong focus on Technical Dispatch Reliability from both an operational and reliability perspective, helping our client achieve its performance targets. You’ll be expected to demonstrate the effectiveness of the role by developing, maintaining and presenting operational and performance reports.

Alongside the predictive and analytical elements of the position, you’ll act as a technical expert on the fleet, supporting the Maintrol team with ad-hoc shift cover and providing guidance on troubleshooting complex technical issues and repetitive defects.

You’ll also work closely with Safety and Air Operations teams when reviewing Flight Data conditional events, interpreting flight data and identifying any required Engineering follow-up actions.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a full airside pass

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and appropriately to different audiences

• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams

• Ability to influence stakeholders at different levels of the organisation

• Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel

• Experience with, or knowledge of, coding, SQL, data analytics and aircraft health monitoring applications would be advantageous

• Knowledge of the Embraer E-Jet family of aircraft

Your experience

• CAA Part-66 B1/B2 licence or equivalent engineering technical qualification

• Type rating on the Embraer E190, or relevant experience within a similar Technical Support or Technical Services role

• Working knowledge of CAA/EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M and Part-145 requirements

• Technical Services experience

• Experience of aircraft certification, technical support and maintenance from both a practical and continuing airworthiness perspective

• Good understanding of the airline operating environment and associated regulatory requirements
