In these areas, we bring our core expertise in economics, finance, accounting, and statistics to bear on legal issues such as collective actions, merits, and assessing quantum of damages, as well as regulatory proceedings and merger-related matters. About the Analyst Position:As an analyst, you have the opportunity to work on complex business problems within a collaborative environment. Analysts can expect to work on multiple projects at a time across various practice areas and industries. Responsibilities and work experiences may include but are not limited to the following:
- Quantitative analyses: you will help develop data-driven models to address complex economic and financial problems using tools such as R, Stata, Python and other programs
- Qualitative research: you will conduct research using academic and industry literature, publicly available data sources, and client materials; and you will synthesize findings to inform case strategy and analysis
- Preparation of reports: you will assist in drafting expert reports, presentations, and internal memoranda, and help prepare materials for client and case team meetings
- Team collaboration: you will engage regularly with colleagues at all levels through case work and have an opportunity to interact directly with clients
- Firm-building initiatives: you will contribute to firm life by participating in recruiting, mentoring, and inclusion initiatives; pro bono work; and other business development activities
Analysis Group fosters a progressive and academically oriented work environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration across diverse areas of expertise. Specifically, we seek candidates who have:
- A master’s degree in economics, finance, data analytics or related quantitative subjects; relevant work experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong quantitative and research skills, including analytical and creative problem-solving abilities; familiarity with AI tools; the ability to conduct targeted research to address client challenges; and intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to continuously learn
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
- A strong academic track record, with demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
