The Role
Agilent is undergoing a significant enterprise transformation to become a more market-focused, customer-centric, and agile company. As part of this evolution, the Senior Human Resources Business Partner will play a critical leadership role in shaping the people agenda for Legal and Finance.
This role develops coordinated talent and workforce plans that advance business objectives while strengthening organizational capability and leadership effectiveness. As a trusted advisor to senior executives, including the Chief Legal Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and their leadership teams, the Senior HRBP applies deep HR, business, and organizational expertise to address complex challenges, guide transformation, and translate enterprise priorities into action.
The role also provides leadership and coaching to HR colleagues across regions and serves as a key connector across HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, and business leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Workforce and Talent Leadership
Translate enterprise, business, and functional priorities into integrated one- to three-year workforce and talent plans that support both immediate business needs and long-term organizational priorities.
Strengthen organizational and leadership capability through guidance on workforce planning, succession management, organizational design, leadership development, and talent planning.
Improve enterprise talent decisions by facilitating talent review processes, succession discussions, and talent trade-off decisions across functions and leadership teams.
Use workforce analytics, external market insights, and business data to identify opportunities and risks, informing executive decision-making with actionable recommendations.
Executive Partnership and Advisory
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, providing candid counsel and guidance on organizational effectiveness, leadership, talent, culture, and workforce implications of business decisions.
Partner with leaders to anticipate workforce challenges, navigate organizational complexity, and improve the effectiveness of decisions.
Build strong relationships across the executive team by bringing enterprise perspective, business acumen, and thoughtful challenges to discussions and decision-making.
Transformation and Organizational Effectiveness
Lead the people aspects of significant business initiatives and transformations, including mergers and acquisitions, operating model changes, organizational restructuring, and enterprise change efforts.
Resolve complex cross-functional workforce challenges by integrating business context, workforce insights, and organizational expertise into practical solutions.
Drive alignment and execution across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure successful implementation of major initiatives.
Enterprise HR Leadership
Partner effectively across HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Legal, Finance, and business leaders to deliver integrated and scalable solutions.
Coach and influence HR professionals across countries and regions to improve consistency, capability, and impact of HR support.
Advance Agilent’s HR operating model by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve service delivery, leverage AI-enabled capabilities, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Champion Agilent’s leadership expectations and culture by creating clarity, generating energy, delivering results, and demonstrating integrity and enterprise-first thinking.
Qualifications
12+ years of progressive HR experience with a proven record of success operating as a senior HR advisor in complex, global organizations.
Demonstrated experience partnering with executive and VP-level leaders on organizational, workforce, and talent matters.
Expertise in workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, organizational design, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and change leadership.
Experience leading large-scale organizational initiatives and influencing outcomes through cross-functional partnerships.
Strong business and financial acumen, executive presence, and advanced consulting and coaching capabilities.
Ability to synthesize workforce data, business insights, and external trends into compelling recommendations and business actions.
Experience coaching HR professionals and leading work across multiple priorities, geographies, functions, and reporting relationships.
Fluency with AI-enabled HR capabilities and an understanding of their implications for workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
Demonstrated ability to successfully direct complex plans and initiatives, leveraging formal and informal influence to deliver enterprise outcomes.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least August 21, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $210,528.00 - $328,950.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
