About the Role
Westlake Village Inn is looking for a Pool Bartender to join our team for the season. This role is the face of our poolside experience — creating drinks, keeping the bar running smoothly, and making sure every guest feels taken care of while they relax by the pool.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the pool bar
- Check IDs and follow all responsible alcohol service practices
- Take orders, process payments, and keep accurate tabs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout the shift
- Monitor guests for signs of overconsumption and handle situations professionally
- Restock inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Provide friendly, attentive service that reflects the Inn's standard of hospitality
Adjust to shifting business levels, including slower or busier shifts depending on occupancy and weather
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Prior bartending experience preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends, including holidays, based on business needs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, ice)
Schedule Details
This is a seasonal position with shifts Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Actual hours may vary week to week depending on occupancy and pool activity levels.
