Role summary:The Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role involves diagnosing issues, overseeing junior associates, managing work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires expertise in multiple crafts, effective communication with stakeholders, and commitment to quality and operational excellence. The Senior Technician supports continuous improvement efforts and contributes to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment aligned with Walmart’s standards and values.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities equipment and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, while overseeing junior associates and acting as job foreman.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, diagnose problems using manuals and blueprints, and ensure repairs meet quality, safety, and code standards.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide onsite training, evaluate technician skills, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair to ensure facility safety and functionality.
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues using blueprints and repair manuals.
- Experience managing maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor oversight.
- Skilled in documenting maintenance activities, compiling budget information, and submitting warranty claims.
- Demonstrated leadership in training and guiding junior associates while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
