Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• 1-2 years of previous experience in quality, food/beverage, or manufacturing

 

Job Description:

A Product Handling Taster I is responsible for performing the sensory tasting on all product lines and varieties. 

 

Essential Duties:

• Assist in the training of newly hired Product Handlers
• Conduct walkthroughs of fermentation and conditioning areas to provide updates on product properties to internal customers
• Utilize knowledge of enjoy by dates and special customer requirements to coordinate with Associates in Logistics and Warehouse to ensure products are within the needed specifications before releasing to the customer
• Respond to concerns from Product Handlers when product does not meet specifications and assist management in recommending solutions to meet customer demands
• Reference target Brix, pH, and CO₂ to determine whether product meets release criteria
• Report and assisting in resolving any inconsistency between product sample taste and quality
• Model, reinforce, and demonstrate safe work practices and procedures, including wearing required PPE and following OSHA safety guidelines
• Support Quality Assurance with projects and initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Job Details:

• Work Hours: 12:30AM-9:30AM 
• Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of the work, each employee’s own safety and the safety of others, and the need to interact with the public. 
• Pay Range: $17.65-18.90/hr
