London - Hybrid working (1-2 Days on site)

Looking to make an immediate impact in SEND services? This SEND Case Officer opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in reducing a SEND case backlog, helping improve outcomes for children and young people while supporting service performance during a critical period. As a SEND Case Officer, you will join a busy team focused on delivering high-quality EHCP casework and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND Case Officer seeking a fast-paced interim assignment where your expertise will be valued from day one.

 

Your Role as SEND Case Officer:

• Manage a caseload of EHCP assessments, reviews and amendments
• Support the reduction of the SEND case backlog through effective case management
• Ensure compliance with statutory timescales and SEND legislation
• Work closely with families, schools and key stakeholders to progress cases
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on case progression

 

Your Previous Experience as a SEND Case Officer:

• Proven experience working as a SEND Case Officer within a Local Authority
• Strong working knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice
• Experience managing EHCP processes from assessment through to review
• Ability to work independently and prioritise a high-volume caseload
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
