The IT Specialist II is a seasoned support professional who operates with minimal guidance and administers Christman's core technology day to day. The role independently administers Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive), Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune, provisions devices with Windows Autopilot, and works with Active Directory and Group Policy. The Specialist II also works with networking technologies including firewalls, switches, and access points, performs and supports jobsite and regional-office setup, maintains high standards of communication and documentation, and mentors junior team members.
What You Will Do:
As InformationTechnology Specialist II your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a secondary/escalation (Tier 1/Tier 2) responder for all locations company wide.
Independently diagnose and resolve moderately complex or recurring technical issues across endpoint, identity, collaboration, networking, and supported business applications.
Independently administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive) and Microsoft Entra ID (users, groups, and basic conditional access).
Manage devices with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot; deploy and troubleshoot endpoint policies and applications.
Administer Active Directory and Group Policy.
Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment (firewalls, switches, access points, Wi-Fi, and VLANs).
Perform and support jobsite and regional-office technology setup, including installing and configuring Internet connectivity, printers/copiers, phones, network/Wi-Fi, basic cabling, and webcams.
Serve as champion for one or more corporate or regional applications.
Apply strong service-management discipline: ticket quality, SLAs, follow-through, and knowledge-article creation.
Perform new user setup, maintenance, and offboarding, and new hardware configuration.
Maintain accuracy of IT equipment and inventory records.
Mentor junior IT Specialists and contribute to service-improvement efforts.
Help enforce corporate cybersecurity policies; complete assigned and required training for this role.
Expected Hours of Work
Full time position. Extended hours and weekends may apply.
Travel
Minimal travel required, depending on the project, travel to other areas may be required. Majority of travel done during work hours, overnight stays may be required.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer information system or a degree in related job field or comparable work experience and/or IT certifications.
3-5 years of work experience in job related field
Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive) and Microsoft Entra ID.
Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for endpoint management.
Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy.
Networking configuration and troubleshooting (firewalls, switches, and access points).
Strong Windows 10/11 support experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of experience in IT
CompTIA A+ Certification
CompTIA Network + Certification
Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Microsoft certifications
Other industry certifications and/or attended training classes
