Our client sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America in order to ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste.
They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Forklift Technician to their dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks
- Test forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly
- Install, remove and/or repair attachments and accessories such as clamps, side shifters,
push/pulls, lights and audible devices as required - Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair batteries and chargers as needed
- Liaise with other technicians and team members
- Other duties assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years’ experience as a forklift technician or auto mechanic
- Completion of forklift truck mechanics training course is considered an asset
- Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift vehicles
- Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift vehicle
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs +
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work the morning shift or afternoon shift
