Medical Billing SupervisorLocation: Agave Pediatrics - Deer Valley (Occasional travel to other Agave Pediatrics office locations will be required.)Reports To: Practice ManagerSupervises: 5–6 Medical Billing Team MembersPosition SummaryAgave Pediatrics is a growing, multi-site pediatric medical practice serving families throughout Arizona. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Billing Supervisor to lead our billing operations. This role oversees daily billing activities for general and specialty pediatric services, ensures accurate and timely revenue cycle performance, and drives process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce manual work. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, mentor, and support a team of 5–6 medical billing team membersOversee billing for general pediatrics and pediatric specialty services, including claims submission, payment posting, follow-up, and denial managementMonitor accounts receivable (A/R), identify trends, and proactively address denials and underpaymentsEnsure compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policiesImplement new solutions, tools, and workflows to optimize efficiency and reduce manual billing processesCollaborate with clinical, front office, and leadership teams across multiple sites to resolve billing issuesDevelop, maintain, and enforce billing policies, procedures, and training materialsTrack and report performance metrics such as A/R days, clean claim rates, and denial trendsServe as an escalation point for complex or high-risk billing issuesSupport audits, payer communications, system upgrades, and workflow changesTravel occasionally to other Agave Pediatrics locations to support billing operations and staffPreferred Qualifications3–5+ years of medical billing experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilitiesExperience billing for general and specialty pediatric servicesExperience working with eClinicalWorks (eCW) strongly preferredDemonstrated success implementing workflow improvements or automation solutionsStrong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, payer requirements, and pediatric billing practicesExperience with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and managed care plansProven leadership, coaching, and team development skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing, multi-site practice environmentBenefitsAgave Pediatrics offers a competitive benefits package, including:Paid time offPaid holidays401(k) retirement planMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage
