Job Summary:
The Educational Coach Specialist is responsible for utilizing management, monitoring, and instructional strategies to ensure both compliance and excellence among the education team. This position will serve as a support for the education team. Providing support to designated members of the education team including but not limited to Center Directors, Center Managers, and Early Learning Specialists to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal licensing and standard regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities when filling in for Early Learning Specialist vacancy

  • Onboarding and coaching center leadership

  • Completing all requirements for children with disabilities support

Responsibilities when filling a Center leadership vacancy

  • Supervises all teaching staff (teachers, assistant teachers, floaters, substitutes and extended day), which includes but is not limited to: hiring,training, scheduling, evaluating, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and the completion of all work performed by direct reports

Responsibilities:

  • Represents team and/or department at meetings, events, and training as required.

  • Ensures all staff and center functions are fully compliant with policies/procedures, including but not limited to effective practices in health and safety and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, local and state licensing regulations and overall center functioning.

  • Provides ongoing coaching to staff to support them in successfully fulfilling all aspects of their role, including but not limited to effective practices.

  • Manages the full implementation of all aspects of our Acelero Learning methodology and system of recordkeeping, reporting, and ongoing monitoring and data entry.

  • Participates in Head Start/Early Head Start community, including staff meetings, mandated training, committee and board meetings, and other program-wide functions as needed, including some evening activities.

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Performs any and all other duties (or functions) as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required

  • Infant/Toddler education/training for Early Head Start preferred

  • Minimum of one (1) year of managerial/supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience working in a Head Start program required.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required

  • Must have CPR and First Aid certification, or required to obtain within the first year of employment.

  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

  • Local travel and long-distance travel required.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the health and safety licensing requirements for schools and/or childcare centers.

  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards & Acelero Integrated Service Plan

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, in a number of forums

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate and work as part of a team

  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills, especially Excel and basic data systems in MS Office and internet navigation.

  • Must be honest, dependable, organized and able to meet deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and able to seek resources to support the tasks associated with this position

When, Where, and How Much

  • When: Summer/Fall 2026

  • Where: Milwaukee/Racine – Walton HQ

  • How Much: $73,328.30 annually + Comprehensive Benefits Package
