Job Description Summary
You will be involved in GE Vernova’s Advanced Distribution and Transmission Management Systems related projects, tackling problems ranging from analyzing network modelling databases to providing solutions for varied customer business requirements.Our product is deployed in transmission and distribution companies worldwide and delivers reliability, productivity, innovation, and efficiency through its modular architecture, adaptive algorithms, predictive analytics, and advanced user experience.
You will be introduced to Power Systems domain and will be guided on related technologies and software tools we use. You will be guided by structured goals through a well-defined onboarding process and gradually be involved in the delivery processes of the ongoing projects.
You will be fully coached, trained by a mentor and have a strong support network of experienced staff who help analyze and understand technical problems, develop soft and time management skills.

Job Description
What you'll be doing:
Collaborate on power systems projects, working alongside other engineers to configure and manage the deployment of intricate enterprise software solutions suite, that includes SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), EMS (Energy Management System), WAMS (Wide Area Management System), DMS (Distribution Management System), OMS (Outage Management System), SWO (Switching Orders Management), etc.
You will use your power engineering skills, and you are encouraged to :
- Implement new ideas, develop tools and applications that might improve our project delivery methods/processes.
- Apply Lean/Agile methodologies, utilize Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines, ensure quality and scalability, document and standardizing processes, effective testing techniques, issue reporting and investigation in project delivery tasks.
- Contribute to various project activities (i.e. data manipulation, configuration deployment, documentation, testing, troubleshooting and issue resolution).
This role requires you to get in contact with colleagues, customer representatives and various stakeholders in their day-to-day job, therefore good interpersonal, effective communication and presentation skills both verbal and written are mandatory.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Following Degree paths accepted: Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar.
Familiarity with Windows environments
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access)
Excellent analytical, mathematics and communication skills
English conversational level mandatory / French knowledge represents a bonus
Nice to have:
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) and knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle)
- Understanding of DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes etc)
