Job Description

Body Worn solutions combine hardware, software and cloud, in a product area where reliability really matters. As Engineering Manager for Body Worn Test, you will lead the team responsible for testing these solutions and work closely with development to make sure we deliver the quality our customers expect.

Who is your future team?

The Body Worn Test team is part of the Body Worn, Analytics & Test Services QA department within the Quality Assurance organization at Axis and consists of test engineers working with our Body Worn solutions. The team works in an agile environment, closely together with developers and other roles in the development teams. Testing is an integrated part of the development process, and the team is involved throughout the development cycle.

As Engineering Manager, you will help the team navigate a complex product area while making sure they have the right conditions to do their job, develop their skills and grow as a team.

What you'll do here as Engineering Manager – Body Worn Test

You will lead the team and be responsible for both people development and the team's direction and priorities. A large part of the role is about working with others. You will collaborate closely with development managers and product management to understand what is coming, where we need to focus, and how we can best support the development organization.

You will also work closely with other QA teams and QA managers across Axis to share knowledge, coordinate efforts and develop our ways of working.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Lead and develop the team, supporting both individual growth and the team's development
• Set direction and priorities together with development managers, product management and the team
• Make sure the team has the right competence and capacity for upcoming needs
• Work closely with development to make testing an effective part of the agile development process
• Collaborate with other QA teams and QA managers across Axis to share knowledge and improve our ways of working
• Follow up on progress, remove obstacles and support the team in reaching its goals
• Handle standard management responsibilities such as salary setting, budgeting and recruitment

Who are we looking for?

You are a leader who enjoys working with people and who is genuinely interested in technology. You are comfortable giving people responsibility while also being there when support or direction is needed. You care about quality and the customer experience and understand that testing is ultimately about making sure we deliver products that work well for the people who use them. You build trust and good relationships, and you are able to work with different perspectives and interests across an organization. At the same time, you are not afraid to make decisions and move things forward.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

• An engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Experience leading and developing engineers or other technical teams
• Experience from software testing and working in an agile development environment
• Strong communication skills in English and Swedish, enabling you to collaborate effectively across the organization

The following qualifications are a plus:

• Experience working with products combining hardware and software, or cloud-based solutions
• Experience or strong interest in AI, and an understanding of the challenges involved in testing AI-based solutions
