Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to support production and manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for fitting, fabricating, and MIG welding components using blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications to produce high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing environment, the ability to consistently produce quality welds, and a strong understanding of weld quality standards, including the identification and prevention of common weld defects such as porosity, undercut, and lack of fusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment for various materials and applications.
• Perform MIG welding according to blueprint specifications, weld symbols, and production requirements.
• Produce strong, consistent welds that meet company quality and production standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, appearance, and compliance with specifications.
• Identify and correct common weld defects, including porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, and excessive spatter.
• Adjust welding machines, settings, and techniques to maintain weld quality and production efficiency.
• Safely operate fabrication tools, welding equipment, and production machinery.
• Assist with fitting and assembly processes using fixtures, jigs, and production tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of welding experience or vocational/technical welding training.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Ability to visually inspect welds and make adjustments to achieve quality results.
• Working knowledge of welding, fabrication, and production equipment.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various welding positions, including kneeling, standing, bending, and overhead work.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule with overtime as needed.
