Early Help Worker

We are working closely with Sefton MBC to assist with the appointment of an Early Help Worker, on a 5-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.87- £22.18 per hour

Summary:

The Early Help Worker will provide early intervention and practical support to children, young people aged 0–19, and their families. Working in a strengths-based and solution-focused way, the postholder will engage and empower families to identify their own needs, develop solutions, build resilience, and achieve sustainable positive change.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and progress an allocated caseload effectively, using a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
• Engage with children, young people, and families to identify their strengths, needs, and priorities and support them to develop their own solutions.
• Ensure the voices, wishes, and experiences of children, young people, and family members are captured throughout the assessment, planning, intervention, and review process.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, plans, interventions, actions, reviews, family interactions, and agreed exit strategies.

Qualifications:

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Services, Family Support, Youth Work, Education, or a related field is desirable.
• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including English and Mathematics, are desirable.
• Relevant safeguarding, child protection, family support, or Early Help training is advantageous.

Essentials:

• Experience of working directly with children, young people, and families.
• Experience of delivering practical, emotional, or targeted support within a family support, social care, education, youth work, health, or community setting.
• Experience of undertaking assessments, identifying needs, and developing support plans.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
