Labourer

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Facilities Labourer to join our on-site facilities team. You’ll play a key part in keeping our site clean, safe and well maintained, with some experience in painting and decorating. This is a varied, hands-on position, so you’ll need to be flexible and happy to turn your hand to whatever is needed.

Key responsibilities

• Painting and decorating internal and external areas, including walls, floors, fixtures, railings and markings
• Preparing surfaces ready for painting, such as cleaning, sanding, filling and masking
• General site maintenance and minor repair tasks
• Keeping buildings, walkways and work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Manual handling and general labouring duties as required
• Supporting the facilities team with day-to-day jobs and planned maintenance work
• Following all site safety rules, procedures and instructions at all times

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in painting (essential)
• Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance or labouring role is preferred
• Reliable and punctual, with a good attendance record
• Safety conscious, with a responsible approach to your own safety and that of others
• A hard worker with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• A good team player who can also work independently and take pride in the quality of your work
• Basic DIY or general maintenance skills would be an advantage
