Director of Human Resources
Internationally Focused Nonprofit
Remote, Part-Time 10-20 hours per week
$50 - $75 per hour
Terrific part-time and remote Director of Human Resources role with an internationally focused nonprofit.
The Director of Human Resources will be a hands on subject matter expert for the small geographically dispersed organization. They will work to ensure HR functions run smoothly and employee matters are addressed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the organization as the point of contact for HR related questions related to policies, benefits, leave, performance, and other concerns
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding for employees
- Ensure the continuous improvement of HR documents including the employee handbook, policies, and other procedural documents
- Coordinate and manage benefits and payroll information
- Partner with hiring manager on open roles and plan recruiting activity
- Advise leadership on employee relations, performance, and other personnel matters
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant human resources experience
- Experience as the sole or senior most HR at a nonprofit organization is a plus
- Ability to work in a remote environment with team members across time zones
- Relevant HR certification is preferred
- Understanding of federal and multi-state employment requirements
- Excellent communication skills and strong judgement
