Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Team Lead to join our Records Operations and Relocation Services team.

In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating on-site material handling, enforcing strict chain-of-custody protocols for federal records, and ensuring archival collections are relocated in precise sequential order without operational disruption.

You will lead a dedicated on-site crew of material handlers and equipment operators, serving as the trusted primary liaison between facility operations and federal agency partners.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead on-site relocation operations: Direct day-to-day material handling activities—including pulling, staging, high-bay retrieval up to 15 feet, and transport loading—to maintain balanced team workflows and ensure zero-defect chronological and numerical record sequencing.
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders: Partner daily with client representatives, including the National Archives and Records Administration Shipping Coordinator and on-site Points of Contact, to communicate status updates, address workflow adjustments, and immediately resolve any inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure safety and chain-of-custody compliance: Enforce Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety standards across all equipment usage and manual handling up to 50 pounds, while rigorously executing the 12-step chain-of-custody verification process and joint trailer security seal inspections.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven supervisory experience leading operational teams within records management, commercial relocation, warehousing, or logistics environments.
  • Strong functional knowledge of sequential inventory tracking, chain-of-custody verification systems, and safe material handling equipment operations.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound independent judgment, resolve complex operational bottlenecks in real time, and uphold the highest standards of workplace integrity.
  • United States citizenship with no dual citizenship (required to satisfy federal "Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals" security standards), with the ability to successfully complete National Archives and Records Administration orientation and Internal Revenue Service Disclosure and Safeguards Training under Internal Revenue Code Section 6103 prior to handling records.

What We Offer

  • Pay: $25.48-$28.67
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm hours
  • Onsite location: University District
  • Eligible for SCA Pay of up to an additional $5.92/Hour if benefits are declined
  • Competitive compensation aligned with your experience.
  • 10 paid days off (7 paid holidays plus 2 weeks paid vacation) plus sick pay.
  • Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement plans, including full health and dental benefits starting on the first day of employment, and a 401(k) with Company Match.
  • Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth through tuition reimbursement.
  • Note: After an offer is accepted, all selected applicants must successfully complete a background check and drug screenin
