Description

The Financial Business Analyst provides functional, analytical, and technical support for the college's financial operations and enterprise systems, with primary responsibility for the ctcLink/PeopleSoft Finance (FSCM) and Student Finance environments. The position serves as a key liaison among Finance, Budget Managers, Student Affairs, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Information Technology, and the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) to support effective financial processes, system functionality, data integrity, security, analysis and uninterrupted transaction flow.

This position combines financial and business-process analysis, systems support, reporting, security administration, data governance, and hands-on operational support. The Financial Business Analyst evaluates complex business and system issues, translates business requirements into effective system and process solutions, develops reporting and queries, supports reconciliations and audits, and works collaboratively across functional areas to improve financial operations. The position also participates in applicable college and statewide ctcLink governance activities to remain informed about changes to system functionality, financial processes, role design, security practices, audit expectations, data governance, and statewide support processes.

The position serves as a Local Security Administrator (LSA) and functional security resource for the ctcLink Finance pillar, helping ensure that access is appropriately authorized, configured, documented, reviewed, and maintained. This requires understanding employee job responsibilities, financial business processes, PeopleSoft security architecture, workflow and approval relationships, segregation of duties, least-privilege principles, institutional practices, and the operational consequences of security decisions.
