VS Technical Development Engineer

Responsiblities

Mission 1: Establish and develop Valeo Service Technical operation in China

Manage the realisation and operation of the Valeo Service Tech Centre in China

• Validate the Tech Centre installation and all required equipment
• Ensure safety and respect of legal constraints for the China Tech Centre
• Build-up the Tech Center team

Mission 2: Team Management 

• Manage the VS China Tech Centre team directly

• Define the missions, evaluate performance, encourage training and development
• Organise the operations, schedule interventions and manage workflow
• Ensure full alignment and reporting with the Worldwide Tech Centre 

Mission 3: Product Development & validation

Contribute to the development of new Valeo Service product ranges and services

• From the marketing input, formalise technical requirements
• Follow-up on the development with suppliers and partners
• Support purchasing and supplier quality departments for validations
• Develop product user instructions, datasheets and troubleshooting methodologies
• Strictly respect and follow VSA standard

Mission 4: Technical support, documentation and training 

• Provide technical support to VS marketing team and its customers by Developing technical documentation, like fitting instructions and technical bulletins

• Facilitate technical training production and deployment

Mission 5: Technical Benchmark 

• Monitor Chinese Market and its innovations
• Perform targeted fitting test to learn about Chinese vehicle, component and their operations
• Actively share insight to the VS organisation

Profile

Experienced technical team manager with broad knowledge on automotive products

Very good professional communication skills in English, promoting team work

Academic experience

Diploma: Master degree in Engineering, Physics or Transportation

Expertise domain: Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics

Professional experience

• 7 years experience minimum in R&D department, systems development or manufacturing for automotive supplier or car manufacturer.Project management and people management experienceExperience in technical facility management (test lab, workshop)Automotive aftermarket experience is a plus

Advanced professional language skills in English is imperative, Chinese is expected
