Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol CPR Customer Service in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education-focused location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, students, staff, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the educational location, including buildings, entrances, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
