Description
Position: Store Clerk.
Salary: $10.00 Hourly.
Status: Hiring immediately.
Hours: 10:00am - 3:00pm.
Store Clerk.
Non-Exempt – $10.00 hourly.
Temporary Part-Time:
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Location: 1598 Lee St. Charleston, WV 25311.
Assignment:
The Store Clerk works closely with the Co-Manager. The store clerk will assist with the daily operations of the store. They will ensure merchandise is priced correctly, while processing transactions for regular sales, promotions, and provide excellent customer service to our patrons and community partners.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
Additional Requisites:
- Understand and support the YWCA’s mission.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and other volunteers.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to complete simple math needed to complete sale transactions.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Accurately process sales transactions.
- Ensure merchandise is correctly priced and organized.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner consist with YWCA polices & applicable laws.
- Assist, when necessary, with customer complaints.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Regularly required to:
- Stand/walk for long periods of time without a break.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and twist.
- Talk & hear, verbally express ideas, information, & instructions.
- Can work around moderate noise.
- Lift, pull, push, or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
Rarely required to:
- Be exposed to adverse weather conditions.
- Be exposed to others that may have open cuts or wounds.
- Climb ladders.
- Lift, pull, push, or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
