Description
A Powerful Partnership
St1 Biokraft is a joint venture between St1 and HitecVision, combining expertise and resources to drive innovation in the biomethane sector. Our goal is to become the leading integrated biomethane provider in the Nordics, playing a vital role in the energy transition. We cover the entire value chain, from feedstock sourcing to distribution and end-user sales, with a strong emphasis on heavy transport, maritime, and industrial sectors.
To support this ambitious growth, we are investing over EUR 1 billion in biomethane production and distribution infrastructure across the Nordics, with several large-scale projects already in progress.
Transport Coordinator – St1 Biokraft, Malmö, Stockholm or Helsinki
Keep green energy moving! St1 Biokraft is looking for a Transport Coordinator to plan LBG and CBG deliveries from our plants to customers across the Nordics.
As our Transport Coordinator, you will help secure a continuous flow of liquefied and compressed biogas (LBG and CBG) from our production sites to customers. This hands-on, operational role requires daily planning, close collaboration, and timely decisions to keep deliveries running.
You will join a logistics team that works across production sites, carriers, customers, sales, and portfolio teams. Your main focus will be LBG transport planning, while also handling day-to-day operational matters for CBG. Alongside these responsibilities, you will help develop our transport partnerships and drive improvements in how we work.
The role
You will translate production output, tank station stock levels and customer demand into reliable transport plans. Working closely with our production sites, you will follow volume forecasts, identify potential disruptions and adjust deliveries as conditions change.
You will also support our central logistics function in sourcing transport services. This includes requesting and evaluating quotes, comparing carriers, and contributing to negotiations and contract work. Your role will also include following up on supplier performance and helping develop our supplier base.
As our business grows, you will actively shape and document internal processes, lead improvements in the existing transport chain, and coordinate practical transport solutions for new business models.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and coordinating transports and aligning delivery details with customers.
Monitoring production output, tank station stock levels and demand.
Maintaining regular contact with production sites about disruptions and volume forecasts for the coming days and weeks.
Tracking delivery status in real time and taking action when deviations occur.
Following up on settlements and selected KPIs.
Supporting transport sourcing, supplier evaluations, negotiations and contract work.
Contributing to business cases and capacity planning.
Driving improvement projects and developing clear, effective ways of working.
The position reports to the Head of Value Chain Operations and can be based in Malmö, Stockholm or Helsinki. If you are based outside Malmö, you will need to travel to Malmö frequently during your introduction, particularly in the first four weeks.
On-call responsibility
Our operations run around the clock, and you will be part of the logistics team’s rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and irregular hours. You are expected to be on call approximately every fourth or fifth weekend.
During these weekends, you will check daily that production and tank station demand are developing according to plan and adjust deliveries when needed. You will receive an on-call allowance, and time spent actively handling issues will be recorded and compensated as overtime.
Who you are
You hold a post-secondary qualification in logistics, supply chain or engineering combined with relevant experience, or you have developed equivalent expertise through several years of practical work in transport planning or logistics coordination.
You bring experience in daily operational transport planning, requesting and evaluating quotes from transport providers, and participating in supplier negotiations. You balance cost, quality, and delivery reliability, and you are comfortable representing the company’s interests in supplier discussions.
You are structured and analytical, with an eye for detail and an understanding of the wider flow. When plans change, you remain calm, assess the facts and take action. You enjoy working with others, approach challenges with a positive, practical mindset and take ownership of improvements.
You are curious about technical and biological processes and the wider energy value chain. You also enjoy an entrepreneurial environment where the business is growing and where you can help define the structures and processes needed for the next stage.
You have:
Very good Excel skills.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
The willingness and ability to participate in the rotating on-call schedule.
Experience with ADR regulations, dangerous goods, other tanker transport, high-pressure gas systems or biogas logistics is an advantage. Experience with Power BI, ERP systems—particularly Business Central—and larger-scale transport procurement or contract management is also valuable. Finnish language skills are a plus.
Why St1 Biokraft?
You will join a company with a clear mission, high ambitions, and a collaborative culture. Your work will directly support the reliable delivery of renewable energy, while giving you opportunities to develop your expertise and help shape a growing Nordic business.
