SUMMARY
As a Nurse Practitioner, your clinical skills and superior customer service in providing medical care lead to a positive, effective patient experience. In this role, you will provide occupational medicine and workers' compensation services, helping employees safely return to work while supporting the health and safety needs of employer partners. The main location for this role will be Batavia; however, the NP may travel to other WorkReady locations as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Care. Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination and diagnostic testing data; develop a diagnosis, initiate treatment and health maintenance plan; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures; refer patients to collaborating physicians, specialists and/or appropriate community services or agencies; prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment for occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Leadership. Provide health education, instruction, guidance and advisement to patients regarding medication and treatment; counsel patients and family members; recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs; serve as a resource regarding occupational health, injury prevention and return-to-work planning.
- Administrative Duties. Perform administrative functions including workers' compensation and insurance documentation, medical discharge documentation, preparing daily billing sheets, providing guidance and teaching to ancillary personnel, and maintaining complete chart entries on patient interactions, orders and progress notes. Ensure compliance with occupational medicine and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Occupational Medicine & Compliance. Provide workers' compensation evaluations and follow-up care; perform return-to-work assessments, pre-employment and occupational health examinations; maintain compliance with workers' compensation regulations, employer health requirements and DOT-related services as applicable.

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
