Your role in the story

Independent management of a specific kitchen section in absence of Executive Sous Chef and ensure efficient and high quality food production while minimizing wastage |
What your days would look like
- Assist the Executive Chef in supervising daily kitchen operations and ensuring high food quality standards.
- Oversee buffet setup, food production outlets, and ensure cleanliness and proper temperature control.
- Plan workload, assign tasks, and supervise mise en place for lunch and dinner service.
- Monitor stock levels, verify requisitions, and support cost control initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Check and record refrigeration and hot holding temperatures in accordance with standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, ensure guest satisfaction, and manage special dietary requirements or allergies.
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing kitchen team members.
- Maintain strong communication with the F&B department regarding menu updates and operations.
- Ensure equipment is safely used, well maintained, and that all statutory and company policies are followed.
