The Porter/Forklift position at RV Country is responsible for safely moving RV units on the property. This position requires a high level of responsibility and attentiveness to safety.
RV Country is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lot Porter / RV Operations Support team member to help keep our Fife dealership organized, clean, safe, and ready for business.
This is a hands-on position supporting several areas of the dealership. You'll help manage and maintain the RV lot, move and stage inventory, keep the property presentable, and assist our detail team when needed.

Job Responsibilities
- Listens and understands all forklift duties
- Safely move, park, stage, and organize RV inventory throughout the dealership
- Prepare and position RVs for customer demonstrations, deliveries, service, and sales events
- Maintain an organized and professional-looking sales lot
- Keep inventory properly spaced, aligned, and accessible
- Perform routine lot walks and identify units or areas requiring attention, and communicating damaged units, lot hazards, or inventory concerns to management
- Support the detail department with washing, exterior cleaning, vacuuming, and RV preparation during high-volume periods
- Assist with basic property and lot maintenance; This includes: picking up trash, maintain sidewalks, entrances, fences, signs, and customer-facing exterior areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
- Support the Sales, Service, and Detail departments as needed
- Move RV inventory of varying size safely around the dealership lot.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Forklift or tractor experience is required
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely maneuver vehicles and trailers
- Previous dealership, RV, automotive, detailing, landscaping, maintenance, or equipment experience is helpful but not required
- Willingness to learn RV movement and dealership safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
What Success Looks Like
The right person for this position takes ownership of the property. Inventory is organized, the lot is clean, RVs are staged where they belong, and problems are identified before someone has to ask.
This position plays an important role in both the customer's first impression of the dealership and the daily efficiency of our sales and service teams.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required
- Forklift certification preferred
Compensation
$19.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
