Aggregate Equipment Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, crushers, screeners, and haul trucks at aggregate production sites.
- Feed raw material into crushing and screening equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor material flow, adjust machine settings, and ensure final product meets quality standards.
- Perform pre-shift inspections, routine equipment maintenance, and report mechanical issues.
- Work in close coordination with plant supervisors, truck drivers, and ground personnel.
- Follow strict safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with general labor tasks such as shoveling, cleanup, and equipment adjustments as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in an aggregate or mining environment.
- Familiarity with loaders, crushers, or screeners preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a production team.
- Valid driver’s license required; equipment certifications are a plus.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and dusty conditions.
- Long periods of standing, walking, climbing on equipment, and operating machinery.
- Ability to navigate tight areas
- Requires strong focus and situational awareness in high-noise, high-traffic environments.
- Rapid emergency egress
- Climb ladders
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
