Lead Tax Analyst (Direct Tax)

## What you’ll do:

Responsible for all direct tax matters in Brazil, including income tax calculations and payments, transfer pricing analysis, tax planning initiatives, identification of tax opportunities, and ensuring compliance and applicable tax legislation. The role will also support regional tax initiatives and other projects, as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1\. Prepare corporate income tax filings and returns for 5 legal entities (2 dormant)

2\. Prepare quarterly tax provisions packages in accordance with TRCS (Tax Reporting Cloud Services) for 3 Electrical legal entities.

3\. Calculate and prepare monthly income taxes payments for Electrical legal entities – 5 companies (2 dormant).

4\. Calculate and pay IOF (financial tax) for domestic loans.

5\. Perform accounting reconciliations related to income taxes to ensure accuracy and compliance for all Brazilian legal entities.

6\. Prepare and process offsetting requests regarding income taxes credits/overpayments for all Brazilian legal entities.

7\. Support the implementation of tax planning initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

8\. Prepare of audit documentation and support for all legal entities in Brazil to defend Eaton’s tax positions.

9\. Renew and maintain tax clearance certificates to ensure continuous compliance.

10\. Gather information for transfer pricing calculation for the 3 Brazilian operating legal entities.

11\. Assist with global and local projects.

## Qualifications:

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Experience in direct tax and accounting.
• Good knowledge about income taxes legislation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and excellent relationship.
• Good knowledge in Windows Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).

Language Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations is mandatory.
• Advanced English proficiency is mandatory.
• Spanish is a plus.

Education:

• Graduated in Business Administration, Accounting, Economy or Law is mandatory.

Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to quickly learn new processes and concepts, demonstrating initiative, autonomy, and effective self-management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, management, and plant personnel in a dynamic environment.
