Job Description
At Westrock Orthodontics, we’re passionate about transforming lives through confident, lifelong smiles. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you'll help support our Lee's Summit, MO and Raymore, MO locations with a 4 day work week no Fridays. Working under the direct supervision of our licensed Orthodontists, you will play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional clinical care, keeping daily workflows efficient, and creating outstanding patient experiences every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Clinical Assisting: Partner directly with the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
- Patient Care & Education: Guide patients through their treatment plans, instruct them on proper oral hygiene and appliance care, and keep them comfortable throughout their visits.
- Clinic Operations: Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, perform digital scans, assist in fabricating customized appliances/retainers, and maintain accurate treatment notes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Prior experience in dental or orthodontic assisting required.
- Knowledge: Deep familiarity with orthodontic terminology, procedures, and clinical appliances.
- Core Qualities: A motivated team player with exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for patient care.
