Senior Software Architect (m/f/d) Industrial AI & Automation

eigenblue – We're building the future of engineering. A future where engineers build intelligent systems that solve complex problems, and work alongside those systems to bring their solutions into the real world. We solve complex, multidisciplinary engineering problems by combining deep human expertise with AI systems we build ourselves. Our proprietary AI models generate system architectures across software, electronics, mechanics, and applied physics - and our engineers stay in the loop, not as supervisors but as the decisive factor to bring those architectures into the real world.

As Senior Software Architect (m/f/d) you will enable factories to think and act through software, data, and physical automation. Whether you will drive Factory Intelligence, AI-assisted engineering automation, or MES/IIoT platforms, you will design the software architecture for these, execute the delivery with an interdisciplinary team and build large and small applications across a wide range of technologies.

Your Role

• Design and build complex fullstack systems with data & AI integrations from PoC through to production systems
• Lead technical discovery by facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, assessing the current state, and defining target architectures together with business, data, and IT stakeholders
• Select the right tech stack based on industry standards and constraints, and own the path from architecture to hands-on implementation
• Design and develop architectures and data products for industrial and business environments, including the underlying infrastructure that makes them work reliably
• Deliver features while supporting the teams through code reviews, architecture guidance, and mentoring for (junior) engineers on AI & data topics
• Shaping the go-to-market strategy (scoping, proposals, technical conversations) and improving how we build and deliver as a team

Your Profile

• University degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, etc.) with at least 5+ years of industry experience
• Strong foundation in software engineering, with extensive hands on experience designing, building and shipping production-ready systems using emerging technologies
• Practical experience and domain knowledge in fields such as logistics, production, robotics, defense, or similar industrial and enterprise contexts
• Confident communicator who can work with both technical and business stakeholders, with a strong command of both German and English
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes common in early-stage product development
• Motivated to proactively explore and learn new technologies, to find the optimal solution for every challenge, with a continuous drive to learn

Your Package

• Salary Package based on your previous experience and qualifications, reviewed annually as part of our Performance and Progression process, along with an individual learning and development budget to support your growth
• Work hands-on with the newest technologies from day one, backed by regular Tech Discovery sessions, while shaping the future of engineering and gaining insights across a broad range of industries
• Hybrid work setup giving you the flexibility to balance focus time with staying close to your stakeholders and colleagues, along with your choice of OS
• Everyday perks including subsidized lunch through our Foodji
• Access to mobility benefits such as the Deutschlandticket and JobRad
• Access to our Become1 benefits card and health benefits such as Wellpass and OpenUp
• Regular team and company events: Our Christmas party, eigendays, and quarterly team buildings, plus an annual company offsite
