The Area Sales Manager  will be responsible for promoting and developing the sale of our water analysis solutions in the main markets of the Swiss German regions of Switzerland. He/she will have to technically support customers in order to acquire a greater number of orders and carry out adequate territorial analyses relating to the market trend.

The ideal candidate has gained experience: in the fields of water treatment or in the marketing of scientific instrumentation, a background in chemistry will be a plus, prospecting, business development  and good negotiation.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Product visits and demonstrations at customer sites
• Business Negotiation
• Actions for the retention of acquired customers and for the research and development of new ones
• Measures and countermeasures for the achievement of annual sales targets
• Timely and accurate reporting through SalesForce corporate CRM

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Degree in science, engineering or equivalent experience
• Direct experience gained in the sale or use of analysis instrumentation. If it is in the water treatment sector it will be a plus
• Residence in the Zurich-Basel region of Switzerland and willingness to travel throughout the all the north and central Swiss German speaking regions. A few trips (1-4) per year could be in Europe for trainings and meetings.
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• Good knowledge of both spoken and written Swiss German and English, with French as a plus.
