Impact Summary:
MTech is seeking a Production & Logistics Analyst to join our growing organization providing hands-on manufacturing, production planning, material coordination, inventory, and logistics support within a small-business aerospace engineering and government contracting environment. This position bridges manufacturing operations, production planning, materials management, inventory control, and logistics to ensure the right materials, resources, information, and products are available at the right time to meet program and customer commitments.
The Production & Logistics Analyst will work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Program Management, suppliers, and customers to coordinate the flow of materials and work throughout the manufacturing process. The position will provide direct support to production planning and execution, including work-order and schedule tracking, material planning, WIP monitoring, shop-floor coordination, production status reporting, and identification and resolution of schedule constraints.
This position will blend support in logistics and material support, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, kitting, packaging, transportation coordination, and associated documentation. In addition, this position will also support manufacturing operations through production planning, work-order and schedule tracking, material planning, shop-floor coordination, and continuous improvement.
This position is an important link between material availability, manufacturing execution, and on-time program delivery. The successful candidate will help identify and resolve material and production constraints, improve operational flow, maintain accurate records and traceability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce delays, and strengthen overall manufacturing performance.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of tasks from initiation through completion. Success in this role requires a hands-on approach, strong communication and follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced small-business aerospace and government contracting environment.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Support
- Support production planning, workload prioritization, scheduling, and capacity planning activities to support program requirements and on-time delivery.
- Monitor production schedules, work orders, material availability, and work in process (WIP) to identify constraints, delays, shortages, and other risks to production.
- Maintain accurate status of manufacturing activities and provide timely schedule updates, risk identification, and recovery recommendations to Production Management and Program Management.
- Participate in production and planning meetings and provide accurate status reports, action items, and follow-up on open issues.
- Coordinate with Production Management to establish and maintain shop-floor, field-service, and other manufacturing schedules, ensuring appropriate personnel, equipment, materials, and other resources are available to meet program requirements.
- Assist in developing and refining standardized processes for estimating material requirements, labor, and other program needs to improve planning accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Production to resolve material, documentation, scheduling, and manufacturing issues.
- Track shortages, constraints, and production requirements and assist in developing recovery plans to minimize schedule impacts.
- Support manufacturing documentation, travelers, work instructions, records, and other production-related documentation as required.
- Assist with production readiness activities, including material availability, tooling, equipment, documentation, and resource requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Logistics Support
- Perform day-to-day shipping, receiving, inspection, inventory, preservation, packing, kitting, material handling, and fulfillment activities.
- Receive incoming materials, components, equipment, and supplies; verify quantities and documentation; and coordinate inspection and disposition with Quality and other appropriate personnel.
- Manage and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records for multiple programs, customers, regions, and/or product lines.

- Prepare, package, label, and ship aerospace, defense, engineering, and other program materials in accordance with customer, contractual, carrier, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including transportation requirements, quoting, scheduling, carrier selection, shipment tracking, delivery confirmation, and resolution of shipping issues.
- Handle documentation for import/export processes, including customs declarations and compliance forms.
- Track and optimize transportation routes, carrier performance, lead times, and shipping costs to improve logistics efficiency and support cost-effective operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to schedule inbound shipments and ensure timely delivery of materials, components, equipment, and other program requirements.
- Prepare and maintain packing slips, DD1149 forms, DD250 documents, bills of lading, shipping documentation, customs documentation, and other required logistics records.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare reports for internal and external correspondence.
- Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with the company's Quality Management System and applicable AS9100 requirements.
- Serve as a key liaison between manufacturing operations and logistics activities to ensure materials and products flow efficiently through the facility.
- Provide timely and professional responses to questions and requests from customers, suppliers, managers, and internal personnel.
Support continuous improvement efforts designed to reduce waste, improve workflow, increase inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and improve on-time delivery. - Perform other manufacturing, logistics, administrative, and operational duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience required in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management environment.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience using ERP and/or MRP software for inventory, work orders, purchasing, production, or material transactions.
- Experience with domestic and international shipping and export/import documentation preferred.
- Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Familiarity with production scheduling, material requirements planning, inventory control, and manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing lists, purchase orders, shipping documentation, and other manufacturing/logistics records.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to plan, organize, and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
- Maintain professionalism in dealing with customers and co-workers.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position will be $33.68-39.00/hour, based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, skill set, and market conditions.
