£13.10 per hour

This is a flexible bank position providing cover across the following shifts:

• 8:00am – 4:00pm
• 4:00pm – 8:00pm
• Some Saturdays

As a Front of House Receptionist - Outpatients at our hospital, you’ll have great communication, IT and keyboard skills. You’re also able to explain sensitive or complicated information in a way that’s clear, sympathetic and easy to understand. Ideally, you have experience of working in healthcare administration or on reception. 
 
As a Front of House Receptionist - Outpatients , you will: 

• Help people feel comfortable when they visit your department
• Use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships
• Answer the phone, deal with consultant, medical secretary and patient enquiries, and book appointments
• Take ownership of and monitor a busy email inbox, responding to and actioning enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Welcome patients in person, directing them to the appropriate waiting area
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the department runs smoothly
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms and conditions

We are located in Woodingdean, on the east side of Brighton with easy access by rail and road, including free parking
