Jack Driver (PR04)

Job Summary
The Jack Driver (PR03) is responsible for safely operating an electric pallet jack to transport product, materials, supplies, and containers throughout the production area. This position supports production flow by ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate locations in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining safety, quality, and food safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate an electric pallet jack to transport products and materials.

• Move pallets, vats, and supplies to designated production and storage areas.

• Maintain a continuous flow of product and materials to support production operations.

• Remove and transport finished product, waste, or empty containers as needed.

• Inspect equipment prior to use and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

• Follow all traffic patterns and pedestrian safety rules within the facility.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Assist production personnel as needed to support operational efficiency.

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management and group leaders.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, approximately 8 hours.

• Ability to safely operate an electric pallet jack throughout the shift.

• Frequent pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of loaded pallets and containers.

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and twist as required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Good hand-eye coordination and awareness of surroundings.

Working Conditions

• Damp, cool, and wet production environment.

• Exposure to moving equipment, pedestrians, and production traffic.

• Fast-paced manufacturing setting.

• Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.

Required Equipment and PPE

• Electric pallet jack.

• Waterproof boots.

• Gloves as required.

• Hair bonnet.

• Beard guard (if applicable).

• Ear protection (earplugs or earmuffs).

• Any additional PPE required by company policy.
