Accounts & Logistics Supervisor

Role Summary

The role holder is responsible for the efficient and effective financial management and the

development and maintenance of the necessary systems to safeguard the assets and

financial operations.

Reports To

Operations Manager & Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementation of the financial policies;

• Preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets,

shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports;

• Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to

actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections

and budgets;

• Responsible for control of the income and capital & operating expenditure in the

company and analyze expenses to identify areas of profitability improvement;

• Be completely abreast of all governance requirements and ensure they are all

complied with;

• Responsible for preparation of monthly MIS and quarterly review of accounts and

annual audits;

• Develop and maintain cordial relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors,

investors and other agencies;

• Ensure appropriate review of customer & suppler contracts & billing;

• Follow standard operating procedure (SOP) and take complete ownership &

responsibility for stock receipt & shipment in & out of the ware house and shop;

• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle

counts, stock takes and audit of same to verify results;

• Assess compliance risk & ensure adequate control mechanisms are in place for

minimizing/ managing risks.

 

Key Result Areas

• Accuracy of Financial performance index and provisions;

• Timely closure of books of accounts;

• 100% stock accuracy in the warehouse and shop;

• Compliance with all relevant legislations

 

 

 

 

Qualification & Experience

• Graduation. Minimum 5 years of hands-on Accounting and logistics experience from

reputed Organisation;

• Knowledge in SAP FICO module is mandatory;

• Decision making ability, people management skills, ability to do multi-task, prioritize

work and meet tight schedules, excellent interpersonal, communication &

presentation skills.
