About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric conditions. You’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on safety, stabilization, and therapeutic support in a secure inpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines
Monitor patient health status, administer medications, and assist with treatment plans
Support patients through crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic communication
Document care consistently and accurately in the electronic health record
Collaborate with RNs, providers, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to individualized care planning
Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-oriented environment for all patients
Qualifications
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or acute-care settings preferred
Strong communication, critical thinking, and crisis-management skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
CPR/BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
