Description
We are seeking an experienced **Infrastructure Automation Engineer** to play a key role in driving the automation and modernisation of our hybrid IT infrastructure within the Distributed Systems Group (DSG).
## Tasks
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions across hybrid environments
- Develop and manage **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell
- Integrate automation into **CI/CD pipelines** to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, platform, application, and security teams
- Contribute to automation standards, documentation, and governance
## Requirements
- Strong experience with **IaC tools** (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Proficiency in **scripting** (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Solid understanding of **on-premises and cloud infrastructure** (Azure, AWS, VMware)
- Experience working in **DevOps or agile environments**
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
**Desirable**
- Experience with **containerisation and orchestration** (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with **GitOps** tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Relevant certifications (Terraform, Azure, AWS)
