Overview

As a Cloud Architect at Wind River, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud computing architecture. You'll work closely with IT, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to architect secure-by-design cloud infrastructure and implement cloud-native solutions. The role requires 8-10 years of IT and Cloud experience, proficiency in public cloud management, strong understanding of DevSecOps technologies, and AWS Solutions Architect/Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification. IT’S WHO YOU ARE

As a Cloud Architect at Wind River, you will play a pivotal role in our mission. You’ll work closely with IT, Engineering, and our customer-facing teams for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of cloud computing architecture. Innovation, collaboration, and teamwork are key, as you'll actively lead global projects, working with colleagues from around the world. Your responsibilities will span from architecting secure-by-design cloud infrastructure and implementing cloud-native solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams. To succeed in this role, you should have 8-10 years of IT and Cloud experience, be proficient in public cloud management, possess a strong understanding of DevSecOps technologies, have AWS Solutions Architect/Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification, with a desire to increase knowledge and strong analytical skills. A proactive mindset, solid problem-solving and technical skills, and the ability to lead engineers, as well as, work autonomously are essential.

IT’S WHAT YOU KNOW

  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles and core AWS services, use cases

  • Proficiently architect, design, and deploy cloud environments

  • Automate cloud operations and deployment processes leveraging Infrastructure as Code(IAC)

  • DevOps skills and scripting knowledge leveraging Gitlab, Jenkins/CICD, Python

  • Intermediate Systems Administration Knowledge (Linux/Windows) with a preference for Linux

  • Networking Knowledge (Basic understanding of Subnetting, Routing, VPNs)

  • Possess a good understanding of IT security principles (Encryption at rest and transit, Credentials Management, Identity and Access Management)

  • Proactive, data-driven, and adaptable with a willingness to explore and learn

  • Self-managed, fast learner, with strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good listener

  • Ability to brainstorm and represent competing ideas simultaneously

  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions

  • Preferably AWS Solutions Architect/Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification
