Job Description

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for leading quality assurance strategies and ensuring high-quality software delivery across projects. This role drives test automation initiatives, defines testing standards, and mentors team members while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The Senior QE plays a key role in identifying risks, improving QA processes, and implementing scalable testing solutions aligned with business goals.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Lead the design and implementation of QA strategies, processes, and best practices across projects.
• Define and oversee test plans, automation frameworks, and test coverage to ensure high-quality releases.
• Drive test automation initiatives, including selecting tools, frameworks, and approaches.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior and mid-level QA engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, stakeholders) to ensure alignment on quality goals.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and quality gaps proactively and propose mitigation plans.
• Define and track QA metrics, reporting testing progress, results, and areas of improvement.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Participate in estimation (LOE), resource planning, and QA strategy definition for new projects.
• Promote knowledge sharing, training sessions, and QA craft initiatives across the team.

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with strong focus on test automation.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks and QA strategies.
• Strong knowledge of API, backend, and frontend testing.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English level (B2+ or higher).
• Experience mentoring or leading QA engineers.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, Xray, Spira Test).
